Rola might be the perfect place for you! We are a collaborative team of talented individuals currently looking for passionate and self-driven developers who will deliver innovative and high-quality systems.

We need an ambitious, results-driven, junior back-end developer to work with an expanding dev team, implement new features, and optimize our current back-end applications and processes. We have completed the prototyping and beta phase of our app, and we are preparing to begin the next stage of development. During this phase, we will optimize current features and implement new ones. Our stack features a variety of interrelated technologies, and we will need to integrate new features across each of them. Your role will be to ensure this process happens efficiently and with minimal errors.

Ideal Candidate would have

• Fluency or understanding of common languages, databases, operating systems, and cloud technology
• Basic understanding of the web development cycle, programming techniques and tools, and predictive algorithms
• A basic portfolio of software projects demonstrating robustness and efficiency
• Great leadership, interpersonal, troubleshooting, and written/verbal communication skills
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter with business leaders, product managers, and software developers
• Ability to work independently or with a group; To both follow instructions and think creatively
• Shown understanding of Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM and Kanban
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

Responsibilities include:

• Understanding the product goals and strategy and effectively communicating with internal and external stake holders to effectively execute these goals with efficient and high-quality work
• Assisting with the planning and development of scalable system architecture for new communication and social networking features
• Ensuring the highest standard of code with attention to detail and thorough testing
• Effectively allocating your time between tasks - ensuring that you can complete assigned tasks within the allocated timeline
• With humility and patience, receiving feedback and assistance from senior engineers on critical tasks
• Maintaining systems and responding quickly with fixes to bugs and other performance issues that may arise
